How did the dragonfly become the company symbol?
The dragonfly
Why does Dragon have the dragonfly as its logo?
As early as 1949, the company had forward-thinking leaders who saw opportunities to sell their products beyond Denmark’s borders. They wanted to find a logo — a symbol — that could be recognized by people all over the world.
The beautiful and impressive insect — the dragonfly — was chosen because it lives in almost every part of the world, and thus the company’s name and trademark were formed.
Since then, the dragonfly has been closely associated with abrasive materials from Dragon in Denmark.
